intercession
is together
"that we may pray in one voice"
He was moved by compassion
Then saith he unto his disciples,
The harvest truly is plenteous,
but the laborers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

The hand of God is ours
obeying His direction
Our Mission
Our first call is to intercede…
preparing our hearts and the hearts of all the saints
to go forth into the harvest as we… each of us are sent to bear fruit
interceding before we go… as we go… and as we labor
in His fields
Two or More
We are sent two by two… assuring us that as we pray
He is in our midst… we can do nothing without Him
the work of God is accomplished by us at His specific direction
Hearing His voice… confirming it… completing the work
all at the direction of the Holy Spirit… through prayer
INTERCESSION
it is what Jesus does every moment
of every day as long as there is we
“Love”
makes all things possible
Not as in the Law
where we were compelled and had to obey
"Now"
in the love of Jesus
we desire to please Him in every way
we willing want to hear
and obey
DEFINING PRAYER
Jesus begins to define prayer
as the answer to mankind’s basic need and that is of Him
by entering into the world because He loves us
our basic need is to be loved
for what we have is a selfishly motivated love
our love is reciprocal… we only give to get
This fully explains selfish it is inconsistent…
Without God love is simply a personal preference
with no lasting value it is fickle indecisive… inconsistent
impulsive… unpredictable… neither stable nor honorable
The love of God as demonstrated in Jesus is perfect
it is both selfless it asks for nothing… expects nothing
because it acts in the will of God
and it is sacrificial
it gives and gives at any and all cost
even our very lives…
“Follow Me!”
He comes to the very people He created according to their faith
and it is because of there lack of or waning faith He comes
His actions and words introduce us to prayer
as it is in it’s place in His life… instruction by example
Prayer is the center of building faith
Therefore in the lives of everyone that follows Him
He is the Son of God!
yet He humbles Himself to be baptized for sin and was sinless
It is here the joy of God expresses it’s fullness
My son in whom I am well pleased gives way to the descending
Holy Spirit now in the beginning of His own fulfilment
He directs Jesus into open communication with the Father
by leading Him to pray
His life now is one of listening to hear and know His fathers will
everything He says and does from the entrance into the
prayer closet of the wilderness is exactly what the Father has
planned and purposed for Jesus as a man and every fellow man
You who have ears… Prayer begins us and completes us
The son of man is led to pray forty days and nights
while fasting
this simple but overwhelming instruction
has been ignored and missing from His instruction for us
We seem to not follow His example in separating from the world
His prayer in light of the sinners prayer speaks to our
fainthearted efforts to follow
Prayer scripturally is the center piece of our life in Christ
as it was for Him in His life with the Father
Jesus responds to the request
“Teach us to pray”
with the most incredible parabolic insight
“Our” Father
begins an entirely new order to the dynamic of prayer as never having been expressed before and completes mans encounter
with God as Jesus has relationship He proclaims and invites
mankind to join Him… My Father is our Father
If prayer is not at the center of the church
there is no church!
If prayer is not at the center of your life
How will you hear and know
the voice of Jesus when He returns?
And we will see Him face to face
INTERCESSION
Love begins before creation
Intercession begins at the beginning… a universe was made
and within it a single planet
it hovered close to a sun for light and warmth
perfectly put into place by the hand of Gon
“Let there be…” and it was given a moon to brighten the night…
By it’s reflection
And god introduces the practical material condition
that would now allow us to see how the light of His love in man
is reflected spiritually for the blind to see…
animals in such an innumerable types
shapes and sizes Plants of every color with green predominating as pleasant and soothing to the eye… fluttering birds that echo chants of the wordless cooing that will inspire mans tender expression of love …
an abundance of water in so many sizes and shapes streams to rivers from ponds to lakes to oceans with scads of fish and marine life…
the ritual of drink (living water) and the provision for the future of washing as a precursor for the ritual of baptism
the symbol of the spiritual washing of sin
the many other details simply for the creation of man to inhabit…
yes… it was all… every star in the distant sky
was created for and waited for the arrival of man…
The only greater arrival into the world created for man
is the moving of a star to light the way for the Son of Man
intercession began with the creation as God provided for the needs of man even before He was created… everything was made as God the loving Father as he is… spoke it into being…
more than prayer spoken it is intercession Jesus spoke
than to the creation and now to bringing us back into relationship
and God got it all said and done as an opening crescendo of what would follow and become now known as intercession…
speaking… doing… acting on behalf of another…
man was the direct result of intercession…
and we can now understand the process that leads Jesus
to ever live to do intercession for us
As it was in the beginning…
The same yesterday today and forever…
He intercedes for “Us” His beloved
INTERCEDING
Begins in God
and is expressed in every act and word of Jesus
perfect love is such as this
“He lives forever to intercede for us before our Father”
This small insight is the heart of God revealing
the sacrificial and enduring relationship of Jesus to His beloved
He denies time for the completion of love
Prayer is His center on Earth and continues in Heaven forever
because prayer is relationship to the humble
what does Jesus do as a servant of God
He prays to hear and obey
“Do we wash feet?”
Maybe we don’t hear as well as we think
interceding is the expression of love for another but more clearly
for everyone
Jesus came and died for everyone
He continues to pray in returning to “our” Father
His instruction in His teaching is pointedly clear
“The Harvest is ripe!”
My creation my people are you mine… than let us start
God don’t just send us… He come with us…
It’s His mission through us His cherished and beloved
“They will die without me!”
Pray for the laborers… Where have we spent our time and not
continually followed this fundamental teaching and example
The body is created through prayer… He was… as we are… led by the Holy Spirit through prayer…
Prayer is how He was directed and now by faith we are…
some small clarity to “Follow Me”
The twelve left their physical labor as instructed to hear God daily
to direct His Church in every effort
The Three Thousand prayed with the Twelve following their example to hear and obey… who prays daily together to have Jesus in our midst?
and if Jesus is in our midst when we pray together…
Why would we ever want to be apart?
Interceding is joining Jesus every moment
as He prays for us every moment…
this is the heart of “interceding” without ceasing…
There is more...
stay tuned... pray
INTERCEDING
in the heart of God
There has always been a universal plan for us to be blessed from the moment of our creation
(Yes! each of us)
To open our eyes to the simple expressions of God in His love for us
Creation itself tells us God has purpose for us
and as little as we can take in and understand
We find Jesus not distantly speaking from heaven to us
or in issuing orders through angels… rather
“He walks with us in the garden…”
now of our heart
The Holy Spirit has been poured out
and now we can know Him intimately
Paul says
“The secret of the ages… God in us!”
God gave us Jesus to learn how to pray anew
He took our sin so we could draw close
and hear His voice
to obey where ever He bids us
but more importantly
that we having died to self
now living in Jesus
of one heart and one mind in His love
being still enough in Him quiet of soul
that it would be Jesus praying through us
intercession begins in God
Jesus removes our sin
so nothing would separate us from Him
neither time nor space nor anything
in this material world
nor anything in the spiritual world
that we may be one as
He and the Father are one… comes to pass
For it was not instruction that He
said this but in prayer that in prayer
it would be fulfilled
Intercession is the heart of God
right now…
He is praying for us
as he does every moment
and we can by His life giving mercy
that gives place for us to join Him
in and through His voice
the very breath of the Holy Spirit
praying in us…
now He prays through us
the vert breath of God
praying…
This is intercession… love speaking
through His people
Listen...
Intercession is not an option… it is if you
misunderstand the Holy Spirit or misinterpret Scripture… Jesus teaches us to pray in our prayer closet… By His living example and His teaching… this personal place is never replaced and we are expected to increase our time there as we are drawn into His loving relationship… Now prayed up (please forgive the expression “Prayed up!” as it incurs totality… in expression and continuous even up to now) we begin to pray with others led by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the urging of Jesus into obedience Two or more (That not being happenstance) So now praying in our closet and opening the door to pray together two or more… we should have no barriers to being part of the plan of Jesus in His basic instruction to pray…
“Pray for the laborers for they are few”
This basis of instruction is intercession… realized and clarified by Paul’s instruction to the Ephesians:
Do all in prayer, joining God. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. (Not your ideas or thoughts) For this reason keep “alert” and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.
Are you praying yet!
Who
God… Jesus is God… for every Christian
The Holy Spirit… The purity of God… that
Movement like a breath…
He moved over the darkness at the creation…
and is given place… over the beginning of what was water… as they were yet a mixture elements of God’s making… the fluidity of the Holy Spirit is amid the and hovering over… the waters
Baptizing as it were… what was to be…
there in the stirring… almost like washing over what/with was water…
Rendering a movement of Gods breath interacting… which from that point… God began speaking everything into being
That breath of God… The Holy Spirit than Gave life to man… God breathed into man
His position internalized as He eternalized man’s soul…
God gives life as man is created…
When Man chooses to act selfishly outside of God’s will… man willfully sins…
which is rebellious disobedience man acts on a lie… and believes it more than He believes God…
to satisfy the lust of a selfish desire… enters Sin
And He is removed from God… Physically and spiritually the eternal soul is disconnected and the lie of Satan “Surely you shall not die!” becomes the pronouncement of God… Death!
Man inherits death… The cloud of knowing and being loved is actually the center of that lie… man knows and because he now has knowledge he is no longer humble… he is removed from Gods love… God begins to humble them with the pangs of birth and the cursing of the ground It will be hard…
Selfish love replaces Gods love in the image of Satan… Selfishness prevails…
Knowledge of God’s love can only be approached through prayer and by faith obeying
As Seth… Cries out… and teaches his offspring… to pray to hear and obey… thus is Enoch and Noah… Abraham… Moses… and all the prophets… The law could not save only prepare To hear His voice and obey… bring favor and in Noah’s case… salvation…
Through obedience… by faith in God… hearing knowing and doing His will…
With such a lack of grace there is a lack of faith… (Faith works by love)
Jesus comes to restore the love which is God… which is eternal by faith…
You disbelieved me… now you must believe me… in Jesus… He came to restore faith…
the condition of Disobedience can now be met simply in obedience… “Follow Me!
In all you do…
Love makes a way…
Do it as Jesus… beginning with His love… love as I love…
The example of His life of prayer led by the Holy Spirit to hear His Fathers voice… know the will of God our Father and said and did everything perfectly as God the Fathers wills…
Jesus knew our weakness
And insured our faith by giving us His Spirit… the Holy Spirit that gave us life…
Would now be given to lead us… help us (The helper) Comfort us (the comforter)
And have power to not only resist evil but overcome it… as He did!
He is in us!
The breath of life gave man ability for man to act in the power of the gifts of His Holy Spirit…
Pray to hear… pray to know… pray to act… in the leading of merciful love
The Holy Spirit of the living God… in us!
